I love going out and finding inspirational events and places. Today was the cake international fair at the excel center in London. It was a fantastically fun event crammed with people though which made it hard to get to some stands. As I am doing this post from the mobile I have only attached a few images of the most impressive images so you get a feel for it , sorry if the images end up the wrong way round. More images and details when I get to a PC.

A weekend of creating
These are the newest edition to my apron collection, which will go on-line soon. (I know I keep saying it but they will!)
OK so not the most amazing picture, it was taken very quickly after a long day of making things. I have a habit of getting very obsessed with making them look beautiful that I forget to rest for a while, hence the blurry image.
One of them is not available as it was given to one of my dear friends as a birthday gift.
I have, thanks to another amazing friend, been creating a few of the angry birds in felt. He currently has me working on an exploding bird, not entirely sure how possible this is but my brother and I are going to give it a damn good go! This is one of the better attempts at a pig which I achieved.
Whilst felting I also managed to create these little ones, I don't quite know how my brain created them, but I let my fingers do the talking and went with them.
I also took a stab at creating something I saw on Rachel Khoo's Little Paris Kitchen a few weeks ago, as a first attempt it didn't come out too bad but you have to like goat's cheese to love this. It is a Pistachio, Goats Cheese and Prune cake. I know it sounds strange, and it is, but I like it as a light lunch, especially when warm.
That is all for now my lovelies.

Through the Looking Glass
Afternoon All!
So a large portion of my time seems to be addicted to my Google reader looking at all the different craft things that people create and I a completely addicted. After a while though you tend to get an idea for which is actually possible to make and what some lovely person with a lot of time and patients and skill has created.
For those people like me who purely like creating when it fits in with their spare time and when it is actually doable and doesn't fall apart at the first moment you use it, I am going to post weekly about a few of my favourite things (not meant to sound like a Sound of Music quote but still)

I had to show you all this because it is legendary! The patients and commitment to the TARDIS is amazing!
Along the Geek lines, which is actually ingrained in my soul now, here are some amazingly funny little things from Be Different ... Act Normal

These are from Make It Love It and they are amazing, but am I the only one that looks at these and thinks that there is no way those sweets would last very long if that was my pin cushion!

The Weekend Away Bag
So for the last few days I have been slaving over this monster of a bag. It is definitely going to have to be a made to order bag as it takes a bloody long time to make and it on the fiddly side of things. I have to admit though, it does look beautiful when it is finished and you can stuff it full of things, it's huge!
It is currently holding all my bags and fascinators. The strap is folded inside but in the same as the contrasting fabric.
Fascinator Class
So I recently attended a craft class at the make lounge in Islington, one of the first things that I have done completely on my own in a very long time and I absolutely loved it! Not only because I had a great tutor, who really took the time that each of the people in the class needed, but because it is a wonderful space, the people on the course came from all different backgrounds and for different reasons.
The inspiration came the Vintage festival I went to a few years ago, where I bought this:
Now I have attempted to make my own in the past after I bought this one, I started with the little one below, which I wore to a friends hen party a little while ago, I do love it, but I am ashamed to say that I bought the base rather than make it.
I learnt how to make a Fascinator base from scratch and am now thinking that when I eventually get my act together and set up that etsy and folksy page like I keep promising myself I will, I will put these into action.
This is the fascinator I made on the day:
If you are looking for fun course in London, I would recommend these guys, they have a variety of other courses and the ladies that run them are lovely. An extra added bonus was that they provided Pom Bears.

Purses and Bags
So over the last week I have managed to finally get my ass in gear and try to use up some of the mountains of fabric that I have still remaining. I want to use the whole lot up so that I can legitimately go out and buy hoards more. Mwah ha ha!
Anyway, with the fabric that I have these are the creations I have made.
The first two are large clutch bag size. This one is missing the chain but it will have a beautiful silver chain so that you can sling it over your shoulder when your going out.

This next one is my favourite at the moment, not sure I am going to be able to part with it but I can always make another one.
These are slightly smaller, designed to hold make-up and toiletries, I find they are very useful in your handbag for finding things (mainly my keys which always get lost somewhere inside)
This one I love, it will come with a beautiful leather strap, and is just the right size for a day out bag. I am a big fan of this fabric though it is getting hard and harder to get hold of due to the fact that they don't make it any more.
I am hoping to get them up onto etsy at some point soon so watch this space.
That's all for now, watch out for some new images of clothes I have made and possibly some paper books (Thanks to Jasmine's lesson last year)
